T4 Competition
The T4 is the latest Airdynamics kite, developed to take
over from the T2 and deliver even better precision with much
better freestyle.

Overall handling is improved; the kite offer rail-straight
tracking, just like the T2; it is easier to land; it has consistent
but not-too-heavy pull; easier to slide; produces much less
turbulence. It's just much easier to fly, allowing you to
concentrate on the routine and not worry about flying the
kite. Tricks are in a different class altogether; the T4 can
do the full range in a much easier and more accessilble way.
I've developed this kite specifically to fly with my team,
the Airheads; thanks to Doug, Paul, Keith and Vee for feedback
and encouragement. It would have taken much longer to develop
the kite without their insights and suggestions.
The range now has 5 specifications, designed to give big
overlaps in wind range:
T4 Zero (SUL): SkyShark P90 + 3PT frame, taped leading
edge and no nose webbing. Designed for days when there really
isn't enough wind.
T4 UL: SkyShark P90/P100 + 3PT frame, normal dacron
leading edge but no nose webbing.
T4 Standard: SkyShark P200/P100 + 5PT frame

T4 V1: Single (fixed) vent panel, SkyShark P400/P200
leading edge and Nitro spreader.
T4 V2 (MegaVent): Variable venting, P400/P300 leading
edge and Nitro spreader.
Big overlaps mean you don't necessarily need all 5 kites!
The UL is fine for STACK minimum wind speed - and for club
competition the UL + V1 would cover most likely conditions.
The Zero and V2 are designed for extreme conditions.

All the kites feature enclosed leading edges and accept
ballast weights to fine-tune the balance and allow roll-up
tricks |
All of kites are built to order, so you can specify your
own colour combinations, and frame variation if you wish.
I've now developed quite a lot of experience mixing and matching
frames to dial in different performance and I'm always happy
to discuss requirements.
We also produce a range of aerodynamic aids to help the
kites in high winds:
Air brake: Gauze (mesh) brake fitting between tail
and standoff.
Back brake: Gauze brake fitting at the back of the
kite.
Cruise Control: Variable self-adjusting air brake
to give constant speed across the wind window.
The Air brake + Back brake will allow the T4 Vent to compete
in winds over 30 mph and can be used with other aids such
as nappies or fuzzies.
