The XE is designed to combine radical freestyle capabilities with
excellent precision and all-round good behaviour. A much lighter
pulll than our more recent Insider, and the Airheads are finding
this a very dependable kite for multi-kite flying.
It is fully prepared for freestyle, with adjustable nose and tail
ballast, and has slides and stoppers for roll up tricks.
The slide is conventional and we've developed a very simple stopper
using a flexible nylon tie; unlike fixed guides you can untangle
the lines with a tug.
The overall design is deceptively simple - I've worked hard on
the XE to get rid of non-essential features and at the same time
build in the best bits from my previous designs.
As usual with our kites, you can choose any colour combination
at no extra charge.
The XE works best in light to medium winds; the frame is tough
enough to work in high wionds, but air brakes are essential to keep
the speed reasonable. This has a very wide useable wind range, but
we may produce UL and vent versions if customers ask for them.
